Job description:

A prominent steel service center is seeking to fill an immediate, full-time position for a third shift role, operating from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

  • Operate saw machinery to produce parts, ensuring proper size, material finish, and accuracy of the final products.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as necessary.
  • Complete all required paperwork for shipping and receiving.
  • Pull and stage stock for production orders and shipping.
  • Package materials in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Operate a forklift, side loader, or crane for material movement.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all equipment and machinery.
  • Effectively train others in saw operations, work cell procedures, or other relevant functions.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to safety protocols, and utilize provided safety equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating all types of saw machines is essential.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane; certification is required.
  • Proficiency in completing paperwork accurately and punctually.
  • Computer literacy and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Commitment to maintaining good housekeeping practices and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Must successfully complete a Basic Skill Assessment and meet physical requirements for vision, hearing, lifting, and mobility.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
