Job description:
The role of a Home Instead Care Professional significantly impacts the lives of seniors and the community at large. Home Instead is seeking dedicated individuals for full-time or part-time positions to perform vital services that ensure aging adults remain safe, comfortable, joyful, and in their own homes. We offer a range of non-medical services designed to assist seniors as they navigate the challenges of aging with dignity. You may work as few as four hours per day, several days a week, up to a full 40-hour work week.

Care Professionals provide support in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:

– Offering companionship through active listening and engaging conversations
– Performing light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
– Organizing and preparing meals, as well as grocery shopping and running errands
– Assisting clients with medication reminders
– Aiding with personal care, including washing up, bathing, dressing, and safely getting in and out of bed

No prior experience in healthcare is necessary to assist seniors with daily activities. Home Instead is committed to working closely with each Care Professional, providing the training and support necessary for confidence and competence in meeting the unique needs of their clients. We offer classroom, online, and in-home training to ensure that all Care Professionals are well-prepared for their roles.

The requirements for becoming a Care Professional include:

– A commitment to treating seniors and their property with dignity and respect
– Strong communication skills, allowing for friendly and congenial interactions with clients
– A demonstrated record of reliability and trustworthiness
– Successful completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening
– A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
– Must be at least 18 years of age

We currently have daytime, evening, and overnight assignments available in Lima, Delphos, Findlay, and Putnam County. At Home Instead, we believe that care is personal.
