Morrison Living is seeking qualified candidates for full-time Cook positions.

Job Summary:
The Cook will prepare food in compliance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, following established policies and procedures. The Cook will ensure that quality food service is consistently delivered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality food items in accordance with standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service timelines.
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring compliance with portioning standards and maintaining food at the appropriate temperatures while ensuring visual appeal and taste.
- Follow established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records for the area worked during service periods.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen post-preparation and serving, and safely store or discard excess food in accordance with food-handling procedures.
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring that food and supplies are stored in accordance with standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as directed.
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Participate in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies as needed.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.
- Attend in-service and safety meetings.
- Foster positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Adhere to safety protocols while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety of yourself and others.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Wearing medium weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning slicers.
- Utilizing oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
- Wearing slip-resistant shoes and employing proper lifting techniques.
