What We’re Looking For:

Position Overview:
This role involves consistently upholding quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of commercial properties. A Day Porter is expected to embody the company’s mission statement and values in their daily activities.

Essential Functions:
The following responsibilities are essential for the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these functions:

  • Maintain high standards of excellence in all tasks
  • Clean main entrance glass
  • Empty and replace liners in all exterior trash receptacles
  • Restock restroom supplies (e.g., soap, towels, tissue, and deodorizers) as needed
  • Dust mullions and exterior windowsills
  • Dust mop the main lobby floor
  • Dust light fixtures and metal work in the lobby
  • Clean the interior of elevator cabs
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in interior and exterior stairwells
  • Pour water down drains in all restrooms
  • Vacuum carpets and clean hard surface floors
  • Wet mop hard surface floors
  • Report maintenance issues according to company procedures
  • Report damaged, dirty, or stained carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens
  • Communicate inventory needs and supplies to the Supervisor
  • Report lost and found items to the Supervisor/Manager
  • Assist in keeping storage closets organized and clean
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office
  • Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively
  • Manage time wisely and efficiently

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Prior janitorial experience is a plus
