General Summary:
The Server Person plays a vital role in providing table service in our community dining areas. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Setting tables and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
  2. Taking orders and providing service and requested items courteously and graciously.
  3. Clearing dishes from tables during and after meal service.
  4. Addressing questions regarding menu items.

Additional Duties:

  1. Upholding a high standard of customer service for residents and their guests.
  2. Assisting with dishwashing and distributing clean dishes as needed.
  3. Maintaining safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
  4. Adhering to personal hygiene standards and department dress code.
  5. Completing assigned cleaning tasks.
  6. Attending in-service training and education sessions as required.
  7. Carrying out specific tasks and responsibilities as directed by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, with effective communication skills.
  2. Preferred experience in fine dining service; training is available for candidates without prior experience.
  3. Ability to interpret and explain the menu, address inquiries, and manage the meal service process.
  4. Strong collaboration skills to work with residents, guests, families, supervisors, and peers, ensuring a courteous, tactful, and gracious atmosphere.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Indoor work environment, requiring standing or walking for the entirety of the shift.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently; push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
