Job description:

Hourly Wage: $15.50 – $17.00 per hour

Dietary Cook:

Cook Responsibilities:

  • Review menus prior to food preparation to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect special diet trays to confirm they meet dietary requirements.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including forms and reports, and submit them to the Director of Food Services.
  • Coordinate dietary services with other departments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the facility’s Dietician, Dietetic Technician, and Supervisors to implement recommended dietary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all dietary procedures in accordance with established policies.
  • Assist in establishing an efficient food service production line to guarantee timely meal preparation.
  • Process diet changes and new dietary requests received from Nursing Services, once approved by the Director of Food Service.
  • Perform dishwashing and cleaning duties, ensuring that utensils are readily available for the next meal.
  • Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies, along with other tasks as requested.

Cooks will be supervised by the Dietary Manager.
