Job Description
Job Title: Direct Support Professional – Childcare & Behavioral Support 7a-2p daily
Company: Help at Home
Location: Lansing, MI
Pay: $15 – 16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $15-$16 for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Lansing, MI, is on the lower end of the scale when compared to national averages, which typically range from $16 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and specific duties related to childcare and behavioral support. In Michigan, wages for similar roles may sometimes be slightly lower due to regional economic factors, but this rate may still be considered uncompetitive, especially given the demands of the position, which often requires specialized training or experience in behavioral support. Overall, while this rate is consistent with some low-income sectors, it may not effectively attract or retain qualified professionals in this critical role.
