Job Description
Job Title: Direct Support Professional – Full-Time Childcare Support
Company: Help at Home
Location: Canton, MI
Pay: $15 – 16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $15 to $16 for a “Direct Support Professional – Full-Time Childcare Support” in Canton, MI, is somewhat on the lower end of the scale for similar roles within the region and industry. According to sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics and local job market insights, the typical hourly wage for direct support professionals and childcare workers generally ranges from $16 to $20 or more, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, cost of living considerations in the Detroit metropolitan area further emphasize the need for competitive compensation to attract and retain qualified staff. Thus, while the rate offered may meet minimum wage requirements, it may not be competitive enough to draw in skilled professionals or sustain long-term employment.
