Canine To Five is actively seeking enthusiastic dog lovers to join our dynamic dog daycare and boarding facility in Commerce, MI. We are in search of individuals who can effectively support both our furry and human clients. This is a full-time position (30+ hours per week), which includes working two weekends each month.
While prior experience is not required, candidates should possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, the ability to learn quickly, and a genuine love for dogs.

Position Summary:
The successful candidate will fulfill a dual role consisting of a Front Desk Associate (internally recognized as a Client Experience Representative) and a Pack Leader.
As a Client Experience Representative, you will be the first welcoming face that clients see upon entering the facility, playing a vital role in client retention. This position requires a friendly and compassionate individual who is adept at remembering names and faces, maintaining a positive demeanor throughout the day, and effectively promoting additional services and benefits. Responsibilities include processing payments, handling clerical tasks related to clients and their dogs, safely escorting dogs throughout the facility, and completing additional assigned projects.
As a Pack Leader, you will be fundamental to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of group play for all dogs in our care. This role requires sound decision-making skills, enthusiasm for both clients and dogs, and confidence in managing groups. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs, maintain control during play sessions, and work independently in a lively, fast-paced environment. A strong memory and a keen interest in learning about dog behavior and safety will also be essential.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing
- Capability to lift 50 lbs and remain active, including standing, walking, running, bending, and reaching
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent decision-making, self-awareness, and time management abilities
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- A natural affinity for working with and caring for dogs
- Confidence in handling various breeds and sizes of dogs
