Summary:

The Environmental Aide is responsible for performing a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain facilities, including patient towers, public areas, exam rooms, and offices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces
  • Dusting and replenishing supplies
  • Spot cleaning carpets and upholstery
  • Addressing spills promptly
  • Changing linens and making beds
  • Operating vacuum cleaning equipment
  • Dust mopping and damp mopping floors, stairs, and landings
  • Proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
  • Reporting any required equipment repairs and unsafe conditions
