Sodexo is seeking a seasoned Environmental Services/Custodial Operations Manager 2 to oversee the daily custodial operations at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, OH. The Custodial Operations Manager 2 will play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort by maintaining an immaculate healthcare environment through stringent quality control, thus providing a clean, safe, and compliant space for patients, visitors, and staff. This position requires robust operational knowledge, effective leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, collaborating closely with the Infection Control department.
  • Engage with the Environment of Care Committee and the Infection Prevention Director.
  • Efficiently manage the Unit Operating System.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, motivating individuals to exceed client and customer expectations in service delivery and technical execution of healthcare housekeeping standards.
  • Proficient in data analysis and able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization regarding training, hospital committee leadership, and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within established timelines.
  • Experience in vendor and contract management along with union negotiations.
  • Record of improving patient satisfaction while ensuring compliance with HCAHPS, local, state, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Availability to work the second shift from 1 PM to 10 PM, including weekends and holiday rotations.
