Job description:
Schedule: Part-Time, 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday to Friday, with variable weekend shifts.

Job Summary
As an Environmental Service Technician with Corewell Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting assigned work areas, managing medical waste, trash, and linens, and ensuring the upkeep of our floors, carpets, and upholstery. Essential Functions
– Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking of patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas in accordance with established procedures.
– Manage the removal and disposal of linens and waste.
– Conduct interim and restorative maintenance for hard floors, carpets, and upholstery as per departmental guidelines.
– Assemble, maintain, and store the necessary equipment and supplies to fulfill tasks to department standards.
– Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services, reporting maintenance issues and special cleaning requirements as needed.
– Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
– Be proficient in two or more areas of responsibility.
– Work across various departmental sites as required to meet coverage and business needs.

Qualifications
Required:
– High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Experience in public service or customer service, preferably in hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial settings.
