Located at 212 Sullivan Ave, Fremont, MI 49412, this part-time position offers shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with variable weekends. The hourly pay starts at $16, dependent on experience.

As an Environmental Service Technician with Corewell Health, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient care through your contributions. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting assigned work areas, managing medical waste, trash, and linens, and upholding the cleanliness and condition of floors, carpets, and upholstery. Effective communication and collaboration with team members are essential to ensure seamless service delivery and foster a positive work environment. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training and support will be provided to help you develop new skills and advance your career.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking of patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established protocols.
  • Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams efficiently.
  • Conduct interim and restorative maintenance for hard floors, carpets, and upholstery as per procedures.
  • Assemble, maintain, and store necessary equipment and supplies in line with departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Report maintenance needs and communicate any special cleaning requirements.
  • Assist visitors and staff in navigating the hospital premises.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in two or more areas of responsibility.
  • Be flexible and willing to work across departmental sites as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience in public service or customer service within hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial settings.
