Duties
Major Responsibilities
The position is tasked with delegating responsibilities and assigning staff for both routine and non-routine duties on a daily and project basis. It necessitates the reorganization of work schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks, coordinating efforts with supervisors from other services to avoid disrupting patient care or other essential activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning all patient areas, corridors, operating rooms, and additional assigned spaces, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with established policies.
- Planning and scheduling daily and weekly assignments based on personnel and equipment availability while prioritizing workload.
- Training staff to implement patient-centered care principles and providing on-the-job training tailored to individual needs, as well as specific orientation for new employees.
- Conducting regular staff meetings to communicate new procedures or directives and keeping supervisors updated on employee conditions and notable occurrences.
- Maintaining awareness of proper methods, procedures, and equipment usage; controlling inventory and supply use for cost management.
- conducting in-use tests on equipment and supplies, providing feedback based on observations.
- Overseeing safety compliance and conducting training sessions on safety protocols as needed.
- Managing the distribution of uniforms and textiles, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Approving leave requests, counseling employees, and recommending disciplinary actions for policy non-compliance.
- Coordinating activities with other services for projects involving office, clinic, or patient ward relocations.
- Inspecting assigned areas for cleanliness, maintenance needs, and equipment integrity, documenting any discrepancies and initiating work requests for repairs.
- Reviewing and refining procedures, methods, and task sequences performed by supervised employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
