We are seeking an Event & Retail Manager to join our Cleveland leadership team. This role entails leading and mentoring a team of marketing representatives, focusing on enhancing performance and driving non-media lead generation and local brand awareness through in-person experiential marketing efforts. Please note that this position requires a substantial commitment of at least 40 partial or full weekends per year, as well as travel throughout the Northeast Ohio service area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members.
  • Provide in-field coaching to team members.
  • Manage the department calendar, including negotiations with event sponsors and vendors to secure event spaces.
  • Oversee participation in events, sponsorships, retail partnerships, and the creation of lead-generation opportunities.
  • Manage expenses and P&L for Events & Showroom, ensuring budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including Sales, Inside Sales, Talent Acquisition, HR, and Finance.
  • Communicate results and strategy with management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales/marketing, event planning, and/or managing sales/retail teams.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time and budget effectively to achieve objectives.
  • Capacity to analyze the effectiveness of events, sponsorships, and local programs.
  • Understanding of marketing communications, sales promotion, and advertising roles.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
