Masa & Agave is looking for a Food Runner to enhance food service and assist with table preparation, thereby improving our speed of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves anticipating guest needs, going above and beyond to provide exceptional service, and recognizing guests by name whenever possible, offering a warm welcome and a heartfelt farewell.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promptly clear and reset dirty table settings to maintain a smooth dining flow.
  • Ensure all meal period stations are fully stocked and clean, including silverware, linen, and condiments.
  • Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter to initiate their dining experience and replenish items as needed.
  • Transport all dirty tableware from the dining area to the dishwashing section for proper cleaning.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Undertake additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capacity to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 150 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to effectively engage various audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
