Job description:
We are seeking to fill a part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier position at Mona Shores Public Schools, located at 1121 Seminole Road, Norton Shores, MI 49441. Please note that we only accept online applications.

This role offers a part-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with hours from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Further details will be discussed during the interview process. While prior experience in food service and as a cashier is preferred, it is not a requirement.

One significant perk of this position is that you will not be required to work nights or weekends. The pay rate for this position is $13.00 per hour.

As a Food Service Worker/Cashier, you will be responsible for various essential duties, including, but not limited to:

– Performing prep work, such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing and measuring designated ingredients.
– Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator, adhering to safety standards.
– Storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures.
– Maintaining cleanliness by cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils.
– Ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
– Utilizing approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperature, and portion control.
– Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner while following outlined steps of service.
– Interacting with customers to resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
– Relaying relevant information to supervisory personnel.
– Conducting sales transactions and accurately recording purchases in the cash register.
– Handling cash transactions, including making change and processing various forms of payment.
– Issuing receipts to customers and following standard procedures for cash refunds.
– Being responsible for assigned cash funds and ensuring compliance with overage and shortage standards.
– Replenishing condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness in the service area.
