Overview
The Cleveland Marriott East is actively seeking a Front Desk Manager for our second shift to enhance our team. The Front Desk Manager will provide guidance and leadership, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service during this shift. Our front desk is consistently ranked in the top 10% of all Marriott Hotels for elite appreciation and service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Delivering the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
– Supervising and coordinating the activities of front desk staff.
– Interpreting company policies and ensuring compliance with safety programs to provide a secure working environment.
– Upholding adherence to the Employee Conduct Policy.
– Conducting interviews, orienting and training new employees, and providing ongoing training to enhance job knowledge and skills of front desk staff.
– Coaching and counseling employees to promote positive behaviors and address areas for improvement.
– Facilitating monthly department meetings to review new procedures and gather employee input.
– Fostering teamwork and enhancing employee morale.
– Analyzing and resolving operational challenges.
– Monitoring front desk uniform standards.
– Inputting weekly payroll as required and accurately storing time cards from previous weeks.
– Acting as the manager on duty and overseeing hotel operations as necessary.
– Ensuring the cleanliness and orderly maintenance of the front desk area.
– Maintaining and enhancing guest service and courtesy control programs.
– Professionally handling any guest concerns or complaints.
– Ensuring daily hotel balances are accurate and communicating discrepancies to management and bookkeeping; verifying counts and notifying relevant departments of selling status.
– Reviewing credit reports, hold buckets, and city ledger accounts daily.
– Establishing and auditing controls (overtime, safety deposit boxes, master keys, banks, etc.) on a timely basis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of front desk operations.
– Possessing thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.
– Coordinating the preparation of weekly forecasts and work schedules.
– Keeping PMS reports current.
– Conducting daily key inventories and monitoring key control.
– Communicating effectively with staff and other departments.

Qualifications
Please note: All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug test.
– A 2- or 4-year degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Flexibility with scheduling (AM, PM, and Mid shifts).
– Knowledge of hotel front desk operations and reservations.
– A minimum of 1 year of previous supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
– Capability to serve as Manager on Duty whenever necessary.

Compensation Range
The compensation for this position ranges from $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
