Shepherd of the Valley is seeking a part-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Howland facility. Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls, identifying the purpose of calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when necessary personnel are unavailable.
- Provide information about the organization, including address, directions, and other relevant details.
- Welcome on-site visitors with a friendly demeanor, ascertain the nature of their visit, and notify the appropriate staff member.
- Ensure that all job candidates properly register upon arrival.
- Maintain and update appointment calendars.
- Receive, sort, and route mail, along with maintaining and distributing publications.
- Process sales of meal tickets and stamps.
- Create and print necessary documents, including fax cover sheets, memos, and correspondence.
- Perform various clerical tasks as needed, including filing, photocopying, and collating.
- Handle emergency calls in facilities where required, communicating effectively with independent residents and maintaining a communication log.
- Provide assistance in the Nursing department as a Hospitality Aide.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, demonstrate energetic customer service skills, and excel at multitasking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential.
