Job description:

The Front Desk Concierge plays a vital role in enhancing the community experience by courteously answering and transferring all incoming calls, while providing accurate information, directions, and assistance to residents, staff, guests, and vendors. This position encompasses a variety of clerical tasks as assigned, and requires adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as specific instructions from the Director of Plant Operations.

The Concierge is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Concierge department to ensure the safety and well-being of the community, its residents, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Opening and closing the front desk, ensuring the secure handling of files, keys, and equipment within the office area.
  • Prompt and clear communication of all messages and materials directed to relevant parties within the business office.
  • Accepting and recording payments, reservations, appointments, and cancellations as directed.
  • Confirming scheduled transportation and event registrations with residents.
  • Welcoming individuals entering the community with courtesy, offering assistance and guidance to residents, visitors, staff, or vendors in a congenial manner to foster a positive image of the community.
  • Attending in-service training and educational sessions as assigned.
  • Carrying out specific tasks and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
  • Being prepared to report for duty during emergencies or natural disasters as instructed by the Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications: A high school diploma is preferred. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, hold a valid Michigan Driver’s License, and be able to obtain CPR/AED certification. Proficiency with various computer applications is essential.

Salary: $16.00 per hour
