Key Responsibilities (Other duties as assigned):
Drive Sales
- Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La-Z-Boy.
- Promote the Design program and assist the Designer in achieving established sales goals.
- Consistently execute La-Z-Boy’s selling process to create a positive customer experience.
- Develop and apply sales skills, including rapport building, needs discovery, customized presentations, objection handling, closing techniques, follow-up, and after-sale service.
- Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
- Maintain strong knowledge of existing and new product lines.
Design Program
- Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs, including fabric samples, furniture, tables, and accessory recommendations, along with information on professional installation services.
- Execute and advocate for the Design process according to company guidelines.
- Support design-related functions within the store.
Customer Focus
- Deliver the highest level of customer service to all current and future customers.
- Ensure every La-Z-Boy customer has an informative and positive experience utilizing excellent customer service skills and product knowledge while adhering to the company’s selling process.
- Effectively utilize customer feedback solutions to enhance satisfaction and follow up accordingly.
- Make informed business decisions to foster customer satisfaction and a collaborative team environment.
- Respond to incoming calls and emails promptly.
- Assist in addressing customer issues or complaints by providing appropriate solutions.
People
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees.
- Assist in training and coaching new team members on La-Z-Boy product knowledge and sales processes/skills to achieve store sales goals.
- Support and promote a culture of sales and service.
Operational Excellence
- Aid in maintaining the overall visual appearance of the store, including showroom displays, product tagging, accessory catalogs, and ensuring store cleanliness.
- Accurately complete order processing, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and manage payment and delivery inquiries.
- Complete daily system logs with accuracy.
- Show enthusiasm and urgency in supporting the team and engaging with customers.
- Maintain knowledge of company standards, product information, and internal processes.
- Schedule deliveries with customers effectively.
- Assist in opening and closing the store.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous sales experience and a demonstrated ability to close sales are strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, rapport building, and positive influence.
- Proven persuasion and negotiation abilities.
