Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Sales Associate who is passionate about creating exceptional sales experiences through outstanding customer service and comprehensive knowledge of the La-Z-Boy selling process, products, and services. The ideal candidate will strive to build long-term customer relationships that drive sales and enhance profitability, while also gaining practical experience in interior design through collaboration with a La-Z-Boy Designer.

Training Compensation: $15 per hour for a duration of 2-6 weeks (no commissions; base salary may vary by location).
Average Annual Earning Potential Post-Training: Anticipated earnings range from $50,000 to $70,000, including base salary and commission.

Our Sales Representatives at La-Z-Boy Furniture are compensated at an hourly rate plus uncapped commission on written sales. Key Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned):

Sales Contribution

  • Drive store sales by promoting and selling La-Z-Boy furniture, accessories, and services.
  • Advocate for the Design program and assist the Designer in achieving designated sales goals.
  • Consistently implement the La-Z-Boy selling process, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Develop and apply sales techniques including rapport building, needs assessments, customized presentations, addressing objections, closing strategies, follow-up, and maintaining ongoing contact with customers.
  • Capitalize on store promotions, marketing initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product features and benefits, including new and existing lines.

Design Program Engagement

  • Schedule consultations to present tailored room designs, including fabric samples, furniture, and accessory recommendations, while highlighting professional installation benefits.
  • Adhere to established company guidelines throughout the Design process.
  • Support design-related functions within the store.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Provide exemplary service to all customers, ensuring every interaction is informative and positive.
  • Utilize strong customer service skills and product knowledge while adhering to our selling process.
  • Leverage tools like Podium for customer satisfaction tracking and follow-up.
  • Make informed business decisions that enhance customer satisfaction and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.

Team Collaboration

  • Foster positive working relationships with fellow employees.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing new team members in La-Z-Boy product knowledge and effective selling techniques.
  • Promote a culture centered on sales and service excellence.

Operational Excellence

  • Aid in maintaining the visual presentation of the store, including showroom displays, product tagging, and ensuring cleanliness.
