Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-facing care as assigned.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks outlined in their personalized care plans, including feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and shopping.
  • Provide companionship and personal care, including bathing, grooming, and assisting with hygiene activities as specified in care plans.
  • Support clients with mobility exercises as defined in the care plan and document any observed changes to the Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in various office and administrative duties as needed.
  • Engage in on-call shifts for office and field situations as required.
  • Assist with staff competency assessments to ensure quality care.
  • Educate and train field staff to maintain adherence to brand standards.
  • Facilitate new caregiver introductions and assist with client intake and onboarding of new employees.
  • Help coordinate employee and client appreciation activities throughout the year.
  • Support office staff with additional tasks as necessary.
  • Uphold the agency’s policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in home care assistance and/or direct care within assisted living or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
  • Preferably have completed a nursing assistant or certified home health aide program.
  • Valid CPR certification and a negative TB skin test or chest X-ray.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance (proof required).
  • Ability to engage in physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed based on client mobility.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, and communicating effectively.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B.
  • Willingness to travel within the Northeast Ohio area, up to 60 miles from Middleburg Heights when necessary.
  • Flexible availability for shifts primarily Monday through Friday, with some weekends required.
