Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Restaurant General Manager to join our team at North High Brewing. In this pivotal role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring an exceptional experience for each guest who walks through our doors. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills and a deep commitment to customer service. You will lead by example in your interactions with both team members and patrons.
Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of duties, including the recruitment and hiring of restaurant staff, training programs, managing food quality, executing marketing strategies, developing menus, and providing direct service to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant’s operations
– Deliver exceptional guest services to ensure overall satisfaction
– Assist in the planning of new menu items and the updating of existing offerings
– Contribute to the development of the restaurant’s marketing strategy
– Manage the restaurant’s technology systems
– Address customer inquiries and resolve any complaints promptly
– Organize and supervise staff shifts
– Lead and develop team members, including hiring and terminating employees when necessary
– Train and evaluate staff performance
– Manage food costs, forecast inventory needs, and maintain stock levels
– Oversee restaurant supplies, including small wares
– Control expenses and minimize waste
– Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity, sales, and food quality
– Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and maintain cleanliness in and around the restaurant
– Foster a positive working environment for staff
Qualifications:
– A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a similar role
– At least 5 years of experience in customer service management
– Extensive knowledge of food and wine
– Proficient in computer applications and restaurant management software
– Event planning experience is preferred
– Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills
– Effective financial management abilities
– Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
– A collaborative team player with strong time management skills
– Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
– Culinary school diploma or a BS degree in Business Administration is preferred
