Job description:

As a General Manager (GM), you will provide essential leadership and daily direction to the sales and group personal training teams across two locations. This pivotal role requires a robust understanding of sales and operational excellence, coupled with a strong passion for coaching and developing talent. In your capacity as the leader of the sales function, you will implement a comprehensive lead generation and marketing strategy aimed at boosting fitness program sales while promoting the health and wellness benefits of an active lifestyle. Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Actively demonstrate all studio activities and the sales process through exemplary participation.
  • Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators consistently.
  • Lead and coordinate both initial and ongoing sales initiatives, including promotions, events, and outreach, while employing effective lead generation strategies.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle for all studio staff, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
  • Train and mentor all team members, establishing a leadership pipeline; engage in daily role-playing to maintain team performance.
  • Manage studio budgets, including revenue, payroll, supplies, inventory, and the Return Merchandise Authorization process.
  • Schedule sales staff efficiently and conduct weekly audits of timecards to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions with compliance and integrity.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly staff meetings with sales and fitness teams to review sales objectives, goals, events, and marketing strategies.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Regional Managers to discuss performance and studio developments.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach to maintain optimal OTF class sizes through effective scheduling.
  • Ensure proper front desk operations, including member check-ins, handling telephone inquiries, onboarding new members, and completing administrative duties as required.
  • Organize and promote monthly studio events, utilizing OTF tools for effective outreach and community engagement.

Operational Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with OTF business policies and adherence to the Thrive employee handbook for daily operations.
  • Uphold OTF branding through consistent actions and enforce corporate policies, practices, systems, and processes.
  • Collaborate with the facilities department to troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or technology issues, ensuring that the facility is clean, well-maintained, and operationally sound.
  • Make informed decisions regarding customer service issues.
