Job description:

The Guest Room Attendant, reporting to the Hotel Housekeeping Floor Supervisor and Inspector, is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, common areas, and corridors within the hotel complex. This role involves servicing more than 17 rooms during each shift while delivering attentive, cheerful, and professional customer service to both internal and external customers, always striving to surpass their expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Remove used linens from bathrooms and bedrooms.
• Collect and dispose of trash, ensuring garbage cans are clean.
• Wash and sanitize sinks, vanities, tubs, shower curtains, and toilets.
• Replenish linens and amenities, and replace shower curtains as needed.
• Clean all hard surface floors.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in corridors and stairwells.
• Dust all room furnishings, including pictures and headboards.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, ensuring thorough coverage around bed boxes and baseboards.
• Clean windows and mirrors to maintain clarity.
• Dust and vacuum curtains.
• Inspect room literature, replacing any missing or damaged items.
• Ensure all clock radios, TVs, and lamps are in proper working condition.
• Clean air conditioning units.
• Inspect and wash walls as necessary.
• Sort, fold, and transport linens effectively.
• Stock and organize the cleaning cart with necessary supplies, documenting all items utilized.
• Restock storage rooms with essential housekeeping materials.
• Operate washers and maintain cleanliness of laundry facilities.
• Report and document maintenance needs to a supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of carts and storage areas throughout the shift.
• Regularly rotate and flip mattresses.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
