Job description:

The Guest Room Attendant, reporting to the Hotel Housekeeping Floor Supervisor and Inspector/Guest Room Attendant, is tasked with performing essential cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and corridors within the hotel complex. This role requires the servicing of over 17 rooms per shift while delivering attentive, cheerful, courteous, and professional customer service to all guests and colleagues, continually striving to surpass their expectations.

Essential Functions:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Removing used linens from bathrooms and bedrooms.
  • Disposing of trash and cleaning trash receptacles.
  • Washing and sanitizing sinks, vanities, tubs, shower curtains, and toilets.
  • Replenishing linens and amenities, including replacing shower curtains.
  • Washing hard surface floors and maintaining sanitary conditions in corridors and stairwells.
  • Dusting all room furnishings, including pictures and headboards.
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas, including around bed boxes and baseboards.
  • Cleaning windows and mirrors.
  • Dusting and vacuuming curtains.
  • Checking room literature and replacing any missing or damaged materials.
  • Verifying the functionality of clock radios, TVs, and lamps.
  • Cleaning air conditioning units and washing walls as needed.
  • Sorting, folding, and carrying linens.
  • Stocking cleaning carts with necessary supplies, including linens and chemicals, and documenting inventory.
  • Restocking storage areas with housekeeping supplies.
  • Loading and unloading washing machines.
  • Reporting and documenting maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities:
Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Keeping cleaning carts and storage areas organized and sanitized throughout the shift.
  • Flipping mattresses on a regular rotation.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
