The Role
Veeva seeks a highly motivated Head of Creative Services to drive the growth and effectiveness of our expanding Creative Services team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Shared Services, you will lead brand and creative B2B marketing initiatives for Veeva’s corporate presence in North America and Europe. You will manage the resourcing, planning, and execution of all online and offline marketing materials. Collaborating closely with cross-functional marketing leadership—including product, field, customer, content, and event marketing—you will identify innovative ways for Creative Services to support our industry-leading SaaS products.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute creative strategies for Veeva’s corporate, North American, and European markets.
- Scale Creative Services to meet the demands of a rapidly growing SaaS leader.
- Directly manage individual contributors and freelancers, embodying the principles of servant leadership.
- Champion design thinking across marketing to enhance efficiency and collaboration, while educating the broader marketing team on creative briefs and visual storytelling.
- Responsibly manage and proactively oversee the creative budget.
- Ensure that Creative Services approaches projects with an in-depth understanding of our customers, audiences, product offerings, marketing strategies, and key messaging across all business lines.
- Maintain a high standard of design execution across a variety of B2B marketing assets.
- Enhance the operational efficiency of Creative Services, ensuring effective management of a project queue with speed, flexibility, and quality.
- Collaborate across the organization to guide the team in advancing the business in meaningful ways.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in-house or at an agency, focusing on marketing, brand, and interactive design.
- At least 4 years of in-house experience in B2B technology.
- Proven experience in hiring, scaling, developing, and managing a design team, ideally in a hyper-growth environment.
- A demonstrated record of hiring, mentoring, and retaining top talent.
- Experience managing individuals, managers, and external resources.
- A portfolio showcasing integrated work that reflects high craft, strategic thinking, attention to detail, versatility, and design excellence in various marketing contexts, particularly in complex B2B environments with diverse product offerings and buyer groups.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Adobe XD, Figma, and Microsoft PowerPoint is preferred.
- High skill level in interactive/web design, with a solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and UX best practices.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on time with minimal oversight.
