Services You Will Provide:

• Personal Care Services:

  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and grooming
  • Aid with eating and meal management
  • Support clients with household management and personal affairs
  • Assist with self-administration of medications (not dispensing)
  • Provide essential housekeeping to promote client health and welfare
  • Deliver additional activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the client’s care plan
• Homemaking Services:
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Grocery shopping assistance and planning
  • Laundry services (folding, ironing, and putting away)
  • Housecleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and kitchen and bathroom care
  • Change bed linens and maintain a clean living environment
  • Provide respite services for the client’s regular caregiver
  • Complete other homemaking tasks as specified in the client’s care plan

Important Work Guidelines:

• Weight lifting limitation of 25 lbs maximum
• No medication dispensing or administration
• Services provided only when the client is at home
• No transporting clients in any vehicle
• No medical procedures or treatments; professional boundaries upheld (no sharing of personal contact information)
• All care will be supervised by nursing staff

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to access homes that may not be wheelchair accessible
• Adequate hearing, vision, and physical dexterity for client care
• May require assistance with client mobility using proper techniques and equipment
• Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
