Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Host to join our team. The Host will be responsible for welcoming guests, seating them within the restaurant, and ensuring they receive an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate is a natural people person who can quickly establish rapport with guests and create an inviting atmosphere. Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities, you will rely on your excellent organizational and communication skills to deliver your best service each day for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
- Provide guests with menus and relevant information.
- Assign patrons to tables based on their needs and in accordance with server rotation to ensure equitable seating.
- Inform guests of current promotions and introduce their server to facilitate a smooth transition to service.
- Manage guest flow into the dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times to incoming guests as needed.
- Operate cash registers to process payments for food and beverages.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant hosting or serving is preferred.
- A friendly and customer-oriented personality.
- Ability to deliver clear greetings and farewells to guests, and effectively comprehend requests for assistance.
- Skilled in communicating guests’ needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, and other staff.
- Proficient in telephone communication.
- Must be capable of carrying trays or supplies weighing between 10-30 lbs.
