Job description:

In the role of Housekeeper, you will be tasked with upholding the cleanliness and hygienic standards of the community, including residents’ apartments, in a courteous and friendly manner.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping duties for both the community and individual resident apartments, which encompasses vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check and clean heat system filters, change bed linens, and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment. Assist with turning mattresses when necessary and empty waste baskets.
• Conduct deep cleaning in apartments as required, with a focus on the main entry area—paying special attention to carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens using the provided laundry facilities.
• Adhere to company sanitation and safety procedures.

Server Responsibilities:

• Welcome residents and guests at each table with a smile, serving beverages, cereals, and/or soups and salads from the cart.
• Clearly and courteously review the meal menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return the cart to the kitchen and assist with the storage of perishable items; if necessary, deliver trays to resident rooms.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals, resetting for the next meal while following proper sanitizing procedures for tables and chairs as outlined in the Food Service Guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of carpets as necessary.
• Complete side work, including filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain multiple orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
