Job description:

We are actively seeking to fill full-time and part-time Housekeeper positions immediately.

The position is located at Henry Ford Madison Heights Hospital, situated at 27351 Dequindre, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Please note that only online applications will be accepted.

Available schedules include both full-time and part-time options, with varying days. Two shifts are offered: from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

While prior housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.

The hourly pay range for this position is between $15.00 and $17.20.

Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for performing light cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in various establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals. Key responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality customer service by attending to details.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and sanitize trash containers.
• Dispose of waste in a hygienic manner.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make up beds and change linens as necessary.
• Realign furniture and amenities per specified arrangements.
• Address guest inquiries and requests.
• Respond to housekeeping issues, such as spills or broken items.
• Collaborate with team members and demonstrate professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
