Job description:

We are actively seeking candidates for both full-time and part-time Housekeeper positions.

Location: Ascension Borgess Allegan, 555 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010. Please note that applications will be accepted online only.

Job Summary:
This role encompasses light cleaning duties to ensure establishments—including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals—are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion. Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through attentive one-on-one interactions.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies; shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empty and disinfect trash containers, disposing of waste in a sanitary manner.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces.
  • Make up beds and change linens as required.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to established layouts.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and housekeeping requests.
  • Handle housekeeping issues, such as spills or broken items.
  • Collaborate with team members, demonstrating professionalism with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
