Overview
Otterbein is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. The primary responsibility of our housekeepers is to create and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, guests, and employees. By providing high-quality service in a cheerful and timely manner, our housekeepers play an integral role in enhancing the lives of older adults and supporting their growth. Shift: Part-Time, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
– Perform cleaning duties on furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, and other designated areas through washing, dusting, or polishing as per the assigned schedule.
– Maintain floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, or damp/wet mopping according to the established schedule.
– Empty trash receptacles, clean them as needed, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
– Report any burned-out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, maintenance concerns, pest control issues, and any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to the supervisor.
– Foster positive interactions with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
– Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the delivery of quality resident care.
– Collaborate effectively with fellow team members through clear communication and coordination.
– Uphold resident rights and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
– Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
– Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry within a long-term care environment is preferred but not mandatory.
– Must possess a positive attitude.
