Job description:

We are currently seeking to fill a part-time Housekeeper position with immediate availability. The location for this role is MyMichigan Medical Center, situated at 805 West Cedar Street, Standish, MI 48658. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this role involves performing light cleaning duties essential for the upkeep of establishments like hotels, restaurants, and hospitals. Specific duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing focused attention to detail.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empty and clean trash containers, ensuring proper disposal.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces.
  • Make beds and change linens as required.
  • Arrange furniture and amenities according to specified layouts.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Address housekeeping issues such as spills and broken items.
  • Contribute positively to team efforts and maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
