Job description:

Jesuit Retreat Center (JRC) in Parma, Ohio, is seeking a part-time housekeeper for approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This position entails essential housekeeping tasks, such as bed-making, vacuuming, and general cleaning. We have an immediate opening, and the position will remain open until filled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make beds and vacuum rooms and hallways.
  • Sweep and mop floors while ensuring cleanliness.
  • Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
  • Clean pantry and coffee stations, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, ensuring adequate supplies.
  • Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
  • Familiarize yourself with the proper use of all cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Identify and report housekeeping needs proactively.
  • Respond to special requests as required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work 2 to 4 days, specifically on Monday, Friday, and one additional weekday, with occasional weekend shifts.
  • Work hours are typically from 7:30/8:00 AM to 11:30 AM/12:00 noon, depending on operational needs.
  • Ability to work independently under the direction of the Head Housekeeper and/or Facility Director.
  • Capable of establishing effective relationships with staff, guests, and retreatants.

Experience:
