Job description:
Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center is actively seeking motivated candidates to join our Housekeeping department as a Housekeeping Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning lodge rooms or cabins, maintaining public and lobby areas, and assisting with laundry tasks.
The position starts at $11.00 per hour, with opportunities for wage increases based on adherence to company cleanliness standards and the number of rooms serviced daily. Previous experience is not required, as we are committed to training individuals who are dedicated, eager to learn, and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Shifts may be scheduled during the day or night, with completion of duties determining the end of the shift.

Responsibilities:
- Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies.
- Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms, cabins, or lobby/public areas according to hotel standards.
- Inspect for safety hazards and monitor the operating conditions of equipment.
- Report lost and found items as well as maintenance issues to a supervisor.
- Prepare rooms or cottages for guest arrivals and address special guest requests.
- Record room status on work assignment sheets.
- Ensure that bathrooms, lobbies, and entrances in public areas are tidy and vacuumed during each shift.
- Perform laundry duties, including loading and unloading washers and dryers, ironing, and folding linens such as sheets, towels, and napkins. Deliver items to rooms or cottages upon request, including rollaway beds, towels, and linen.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Open and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, push, pull, occasionally squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel, and balance. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain on your feet for up to four (4) hours at a time.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
