As an Inspector, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring adherence to Suburban Inns’ Core Values and Hotel Brand Standards while striving for 100% guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and exceed guest needs and expectations.
- Assist in training Housekeepers and Laundry Team Members as directed.
- Hold Team Members accountable to established employment standards and performance expectations, implementing disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Maintain open communication with the front desk to address early departures, late check-outs, and other guest needs.
- Perform room cleaning as needed, adhering to Suburban Inns and Hotel Brand standards.
- Support laundry operations and maintain cleanliness in public areas.
- Conduct inspections of all due-out rooms, ensuring cleanliness surpasses standards:
- Immediately send housekeepers back to rectify any identified issues.
- Inspect for safety concerns and report maintenance issues.
- Notify the Guest Service Manager, AGM, or GM of any special room conditions requiring charges (e.g., damage, smoke, pets).
- Inspect all vacant and previously checked rooms daily for additional concerns.
- Assist Team Members by stripping dirty linens from beds.
- Transport linens between the laundry room and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure timely organization and stocking of storage areas upon delivery.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and uphold Team Member morale.
- Adhere to all Suburban Inns processes.
- Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge: Ability to interpret information, perform basic arithmetic, and utilize basic computer skills. Strong communication skills are essential.
- Education and Experience: A minimum of six months of relevant experience is required.
- Schedule: Availability may include day, evening, night, holiday, or weekend shifts as necessitated by business needs.
- Travel: Some travel to other Suburban Inns properties and vendor locations may be required.
Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:
- Uniforms and name tags will be provided, with Team Members responsible for close-toed shoes.
- Personal appearance must remain well-groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos not covered by the uniform must be approved by management. Tattoos deemed offensive must be concealed at all times. This policy will be enforced by the supervisor, without bias towards any protected characteristics. The Vice President of Operations reserves the authority to override any supervisor decisions.
