Job description:

To maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces, the Room Attendant will ensure compliance with all brand and hotel standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive assigned room list from the supervisor and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Adhere to sign-in/out procedures for keys to access rooms.
  • Inventory the cleaning cart and replenish supplies as necessary.
  • Knock and announce yourself before entering a room; return at a later time if it is occupied.
  • Upon entry, promptly report any damage or strong odors in the room to the supervisor.
  • Immediately alert the supervisor of any suspicious activity.
  • Remove linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from each assigned room and provide fresh replacements, following protocols for checkouts versus stayovers.
  • Neatly make beds and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels in accordance with policies.
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchenette or coffee preparation areas as per hotel guidelines.
  • Disinfect all surfaces, including high-touch items such as light switches, door handles, telephones, and TV remotes.
  • Clean mirrors, glass, and dust pictures and other objects in the room.
  • Vacuum floors and remove trash.
  • Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies in the room according to the hotel checklist and policy.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards.
  • Report found items to the supervisor and deliver them to the lost and found if the guest has checked out.
  • Notify the supervisor about rollaways or cribs in rooms for pickup and storage.
  • Update the supervisor on room availability.
  • Ensure soiled linens are delivered to laundry promptly.
  • Notify the maintenance department of any needed repairs or maintenance according to hotel processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
