Job description:

A housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to ensure that guest rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, adhering to the Veridea Group standards, while fostering guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide sincere and courteous assistance to all guests, consistently going above and beyond to enhance their experience.
  2. Execute thorough cleaning and setup of guest rooms in accordance with Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies:

    • Replace soiled bed and bath linens with fresh linens.
    • Remove trash and debris from guest rooms.
    • Sanitize all surfaces in the bathroom area.
    • Dust all surfaces effectively.
    • Replenish promotional materials and literature.
    • Restock room amenities as needed.
    • Vacuum guest rooms thoroughly.
    • Adhere to Extra Thoughtful Care procedures in stay-over rooms.
    • Complete checkouts within 30 minutes or less.
    • Report unusual circumstances to the supervisor promptly.
    • Communicate maintenance requests without delay.
    • Document and return items left in rooms in the Lost & Found Logbook.
  3. Maintain a clean and orderly cart along with the vacuum cleaner to enhance operational efficiency.
  4. Report any "DO NOT DISTURB" or bolted door rooms to the supervisor to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
  5. Organize storage areas to maintain quality and maximize job efficiency:

    • Assess stock levels to confirm adequacy for the day’s tasks.
    • Replenish storage rooms and/or carts as necessary.
    • Remove damaged or soiled linens for return to laundry storage areas.
  6. Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to maintain maximum safety and security at all times.
  7. Acquire familiarity with property facilities to respond effectively to guest inquiries.
  8. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a secure environment for both employees and guests.
  9. Keep immediate supervisors informed of all significant issues or unusual occurrences, enabling prompt corrective action.
  10. Perform additional duties as requested or required.
