As a Retail Fixture/Installation Crewmember at American Greetings, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling our mission: to make the world a more thoughtful and caring place. We seek motivated and energetic individuals to assist in the assembly, construction, and dismantling of greeting card fixtures at various retail locations.

Compensation

  • Starting pay is $16.20 per hour, with two scheduled increases within the first year of employment (rates may vary based on work location).
  • Pay rate will increase to $17.10 after six months of employment.
  • Pay rate will increase to $18.00 after one year of continuous employment.
  • Paid travel time to job sites when utilizing a company vehicle.
  • Overnight travel includes hotel accommodations and a per diem.
  • Comprehensive training is provided, along with all necessary tools.

Location

  • Position based out of Troy, MI.

Work Hours

  • Average weekly hours are approximately 15, with potential increases to 25 hours per week during holiday seasons.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Construct greeting card shelves, racks, and displays.
  • Engage effectively with team members and store associates.
  • Follow detailed instructions and planograms/diagrams.
  • Assist the Installation Supervisor in collecting and moving materials required for display resets.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver products, equipment, and supplies up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Proficiency in using small hand tools for the installation and modification of fixtures, including hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.
  • This role may require occasional overnight travel, with hours subject to business needs.
  • Candidates should be prepared for exposure to crowded environments, confined spaces, loud noises, and low-level lighting conditions.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
