Job Description
Job Title: Line Cook – Hilton Garden Inn, GR
Company: Suburban Inns
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $17 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, the hourly rate of $17 for a Line Cook position at the Hilton Garden Inn in Grand Rapids, MI, is generally considered competitive but slightly below the average for similar roles in the region. The hourly wage for a line cook in Michigan typically ranges from $15 to $20, depending on experience and the specific establishment, with higher-end restaurants and hotels often offering rates above this range. While $17 may attract entry-level workers, experienced cooks might seek compensation closer to the upper end of the scale, especially in a hospitality environment where skills and speed are critical. Overall, while the rate can be appealing for new entrants to the workforce, it may not fully align with the expectations of more seasoned professionals in the industry.
