We are seeking a dedicated and professional Food Service Delivery Driver to play a crucial role in our nation’s food supply chain. As a representative of our company, you will ensure timely and safe deliveries while building lasting relationships with our customers.
Position Details:
- Annual salary range of $75,000 – $85,000, with potential earnings up to $90,000.
- Shift dispatch starts between 3:00 AM and 5:30 AM.

Position Purpose:
The Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck for intrastate and interstate deliveries. This role involves transporting food and related products safely and efficiently, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Collaborate as a team member within the department and organization to fulfill any assigned duties.
- Conduct all required safety checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Report safety issues and required repairs promptly.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company driving guidelines and policies meticulously.
- Inspect and secure cargo to ensure safe transportation.
- Accurately complete necessary documentation associated with freight.
- Manage the loading and unloading of customer orders according to a predetermined delivery schedule.
- Perform damage control checks on items, scanning and reporting as needed.
- Secure customer signatures upon delivery and collect payments when required.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle, trailer, and freight at all times.
- Handle returned items and ensure efficient unloading of all equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of service hours in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the vehicle and loading area clean.
- At the conclusion of each shift, secure equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of commercial driving experience with a valid CDL-A.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Successful completion of a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
- Capable of lifting and transporting freight of varying sizes, typically ranging from 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds, throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Over 1 year of experience in food service delivery, utilizing hand trucks or dolly distribution.
- Familiarity with onboard computer and electronic log systems (such as PeopleNet).
- Experience with hand-held point-of-delivery scanning systems.
- Proven customer service experience.
