Job description:

The Lot Attendant/Porter at Mercedes-Benz of Rochester is tasked with managing and maintaining the dealership’s inventory and ensuring the lot is organized and visually appealing to customers. This individual will play an essential role in keeping the lot clean, orderly, and ready for customer interaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive new vehicles, ensuring proper parking and staging for display.
  • Inspect all vehicles for damage and promptly report any issues to management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lot, including regular trash collection and sweeping.
  • Prepare and relocate vehicles for service appointments or customer deliveries.
  • Assist the sales team with vehicle delivery and pick-up.
  • Keep inventory and storage areas organized and free of clutter.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate electronic and physical inventory records.
  • Help ensure lot security by confirming all vehicles are locked and secure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a dealership or similar automotive role is preferred.
  • Proficient in operating both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
