Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and perform various mechanical tasks required for production.
  • Complete in-process quality control check sheets as necessary.
  • Conduct quality control audits as required.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship throughout the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Receive direction from the Lead and/or Supervisor and follow accordingly.
  • Communicate job status updates to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
  • Be aware of job due dates and organize work to meet scheduling requirements.
  • Provide daily progress updates to the supervisor regarding the status of ongoing projects.
  • Assist with the disassembly, packing, and loading of machinery for shipment.
  • Fill in for team members during absences as needed.
  • Order materials and coordinate with receiving as necessary.
  • Contribute to equipment start-up and debugging processes.
  • Propose improvements to work methods and materials that enhance existing designs.
  • Travel as necessary to facilitate installations, debugging, testing, or problem-solving at customer sites.
  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints and collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Build Leaders to resolve any design issues with machines or controls.
  • Recommend, initiate, and monitor engineering changes in compliance with ECO procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required.
  • Provide training and support to new employees.

Job Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder is necessary.
