Job Responsibilities

  • Construct mechanical sub-assemblies, complete final assemblies, and carry out other mechanical tasks as required.
  • Accurately complete in-process quality check sheets as necessary.
  • Conduct quality control audits as required.
  • Ensure high standards of craftsmanship in all assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Receive direction from the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Provide regular updates on job status to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
  • Understand job deadlines and schedule work accordingly to meet them.
  • Report daily progress of assigned jobs to the Supervisor.
  • Assist with the disassembly, packaging, and loading of machines for shipment.
  • Fill in for absences as needed.
  • Order materials and coordinate with receiving when necessary.
  • Aid in the start-up and debugging of equipment.
  • Suggest improvements to work methods and materials to enhance existing designs.
  • Travel as necessary to support installations, debugging, trials, or problem-solving at customer locations.
  • Read and interpret build prints, collaborating with Mechanical Engineers and Build Leaders to address design issues.
  • Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes, documenting them in accordance with ECO procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required.
  • Provide training and support to new employees.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder.
