Job Responsibilities
- Construct mechanical sub-assemblies, complete final assemblies, and carry out other mechanical tasks as required.
- Accurately complete in-process quality check sheets as necessary.
- Conduct quality control audits as required.
- Ensure high standards of craftsmanship in all assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
- Receive direction from the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
- Provide regular updates on job status to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
- Understand job deadlines and schedule work accordingly to meet them.
- Report daily progress of assigned jobs to the Supervisor.
- Assist with the disassembly, packaging, and loading of machines for shipment.
- Fill in for absences as needed.
- Order materials and coordinate with receiving when necessary.
- Aid in the start-up and debugging of equipment.
- Suggest improvements to work methods and materials to enhance existing designs.
- Travel as necessary to support installations, debugging, trials, or problem-solving at customer locations.
- Read and interpret build prints, collaborating with Mechanical Engineers and Build Leaders to address design issues.
- Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes, documenting them in accordance with ECO procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required.
- Provide training and support to new employees.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder.
