Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies, while performing other mechanical tasks as required.
  • Execute in-process quality control check sheets as necessary.
  • Conduct quality control audits as required.
  • Ensure high standards of craftsmanship in work performed.
  • Maintain clean and organized work practices.
  • Receive directions from your Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Communicate job status updates to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
  • Be aware of job due dates and manage your work schedule accordingly.
  • Provide daily progress reports to your supervisor regarding ongoing jobs.
  • Assist in the disassembly, packing, and loading of machinery for shipping.
  • Fill in for absent team members as needed.
  • Order materials and coordinate with the receiving department when necessary.
  • Aid in the start-up and debugging of equipment.
  • Propose work methods and materials that could enhance existing designs as appropriate.
  • Travel when necessary to support installations, debugging, trials, or problem resolution at customer sites.
  • Read and interpret build plans, collaborating with Mechanical Engineers and build Leaders to address design issues.
  • Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes, ensuring documentation is in accordance with ECO procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Provide training and support to new employees.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder is essential.
