Job description:
Paid training is provided, along with performance reviews every 90 days. Workdays typically range from 4 to 10 hours, Monday through Thursday, with half-days on Friday as needed. A raise is guaranteed upon successful completion of training.
The training phase lasts between 3 to 6 months, during which employees will work the first shift from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Friday and Saturday as required. Following training, the schedule shifts to 3:15 PM to 1:15 AM, Monday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday hours as necessary.
The role of Machine Operator Trainee encompasses entry-level positions focused on becoming qualified Cold Header or Thread Roller Operators. Given the high demand for experienced operators, this training program is structured similarly to an apprenticeship, featuring classroom instruction complemented by hands-on training and mentorship from seasoned trainers and operators. No prior experience is required; however, candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain perfect daily attendance throughout the training program
- Engage fully in all training activities
- Master the use of appropriate measurement tools
- Learn to operate and set up machinery
- Interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Conduct inspections for surface discontinuities
- Acquire skills in wire welding
- Participate in 5S housekeeping initiatives
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined with proficiency in hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers)
- Basic computer skills
- Commitment to perfect attendance during the training schedule
- Ability to read job instructions and complete required paperwork
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as necessary throughout the day
- Strong communication skills for clear and effective interactions
