This position is essential for facility maintenance and customer engagement. While prior experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory for all roles. The individual should possess the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Additional responsibilities may encompass equipment servicing and general housekeeping tasks.
- Execute all maintenance and cleaning tasks as outlined in checklists and directed by the facility manager/supervisor, ensuring the removal of dirt, dust, litter, and debris from all areas of the facility using appropriate tools, including brooms, mops, and brushes.
- Conduct daily inspections of the garage to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Maintain cleanliness around garage entrances, exits, and stairwells, as well as cleaning surface area rails on all levels, including the booth, office, and restrooms.
- Dispose of trash from all receptacles located throughout the garage, booth, and office.
- Paint designated areas of the facility as instructed by the facility manager/supervisor to maintain a neat and clean appearance of all painted surfaces, including poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, and gates.
- Replace burned-out bulbs as necessary.
- Apply oil absorbent materials to any oil spills.
- Submit repair and maintenance requests as needed.
- Inspect the condition of safety items, such as gate arms, to verify that clearance bars are secure.
- Daily check the operation of ticket spitters and gates, ensuring proper function, ticket supply, accurate time display, and overall appearance.
- Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
- Maintain an inventory of janitorial supplies and keep a record of garage/lot maintenance activities.
- Operate equipment such as automatic sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor tools including weed eaters and lawnmowers, as applicable.
- Clear snow from entrance and exit ramps and designated areas as instructed by the Facility Manager using appropriate equipment, including shovels and snow blowers.
- Report any observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager promptly.
- Uphold the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and the Five Customer Service Behaviors to ensure excellent customer interactions.
- Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
- Resolve customer complaints independently or in consultation with a supervisor.
- Familiarize yourself with all operational aspects and be prepared to assume additional duties, including cashier and attendant roles, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to the uniform policy throughout scheduled shifts.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
