Maintenance Technician Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will perform all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds as directed, ensuring timely and cost-efficient operations.
– Complete daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
– Provide on-site service and repair of equipment.
– Achieve a minimum of 90% of Estimated Repair Times.
– Collaborate with other departments as necessary.
– Adhere to standard OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices in all work assignments.
– Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
– Potentially train other employees.
– Assume Team Lead responsibilities when no Tech III is available.
– Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
– Execute other assignments as required.
– Manage waste generated from your work effectively.
Education/Experience:
– High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, or
– High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, or
– High school diploma/GED with a 2-year technical school degree and at least 3 years of experience.
– A Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program is preferred.
Required Skills/Competencies:
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
– Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Familiarity with CMMS is advantageous; internal candidates are required to know the CMMS system.
– Project leadership experience is a plus.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Ability to read blueprints and suggest modifications as needed.
– Demonstrated electro-mechanical skills.
– Understanding of electrical, mechanical, vacuum systems, and robotics.
– Compliance with safe work practices and thorough knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
– Ability to work independently without supervision.
– Capable of systems-level troubleshooting.
– Comprehensive understanding of all preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
– Proficient in generating reports and entering data into the CMMS system.
– Safe handling and proper disposal of hazardous waste items and maintenance of cleanliness in the work area.
– Ensure compliance with labeling and documentation for hazardous waste disposal.
– Responsible for adherence to all safety protocols, good housekeeping practices, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
– Report any concerns regarding hazardous waste management to the EHS Department.

– This position does not have direct reports.
Estimated Salary Range:
– $26 – $30 per hour.
Manufacturing & Maintenance Physical Requirements:
– Capability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours daily.
– Occasional climbing of stairs.
– Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force for lifting, pushing, or pulling on rare occasions.
– Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 27 pounds; occasionally lift over 51 pounds as per work instructions.
– Repetitive grasping, lifting, handling, carrying, or feeling of objects.
– Visual acuity of 20/40 in each eye, with or without correction.
– Compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
– Ability to reach both above shoulder height and below waist level frequently.
– Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
